1 col. = 1.9167" wide or 11p6 picas
2 col. = 4.0208" wide or 24p1.5 picas
3 col. = 6.125" wide or 36p9 picas
4 col. = 8.2292" wide or 49p4.5 picas
5 col. = 10.333" wide or 62 picas
Column Depth: Ads can range from 2 inches to 13 inches deep.

General Settings:

Compatibility--Acrobat 3.0
Check Optimize PDF, generate thumbnails
Resolution: 1200 dpi
Binding: Left

Compression Settings:

Color bitmap images: Bicubic at 300
Compression: Auto
Quality: Max
Grayscale Bitmap Images: Bicubic at 300
Compression: Auto
Quality: Max
Monochromatic Bitmap images: Bicubic at 1200
Compression: CCITT Group 4
Click on Compress Text and Line Art

Fonts:

Embed all fonts
Subset all embedded fonts below 100%
When Imbedding fails, Ignore

Color::

Leave color unchanged
Check (at bottom) Preserve Overprint settings; Preserve under color removal & Black generatons,
Preserve transfer functions

Advance:

Leave these alone, except for Default page size-should be set to the product size

EMAIL ATTACHMENTS

For Copy Only:

Use Microsoft Word
Or use text (.TXT) format
Or put the copy in the body of your email

For Pictures or Graphic Files:

Send in JPG, TIF or EPS file formats
Don't send at resolutions lower than 300 dpi/ppi as they will reproduce poorly in print

For Camera Ready Ads:

PDF format is preferred format (see above for required pdf settings)
We can also accept the ad in high resolution JPG, TIF or EPS format
If the PDF is for a full color ad, leave it as a composite
If the PDF is for an ad that includes one or more spot colors, leave it as a composite

Email Guidelines:

Put the recipient of your email in the subject line (usually your salesperson).
If you have an attachment, give a clear explanation in the email of what the attachment is and how it's to be used.
If you are sending more than one attachment, attach them all to one email. Please do not send multiple emails with single attachments.
